Senior Managing Director, Public Services
Jeff leads the Lexden team and works with project sponsors and partners to carry our public services projects through to financial close. Jeff graduated from the University of Michigan in 1978 (BA with Honors in English; lacrosse team) and graduated from Cornell Law School in 1981 (Editor of the Law Review). He was with the international firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy from 1981 until he joined the global bank HSBC in 1994 as the General Counsel of what became the Corporate Investment Banking and Markets (“CIBM”) businesses for North America. Jeff went on to become Chief Operating Officer for CIBM. In 2000, Jeff became Head of Investment Banking and Merchant Banking and was responsible for 10 businesses including Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, Private Placements, Loan Syndications and Private Equity. In 2003, Jeff joined HDG Mansur Capital Group, a real estate development fund and asset management company, as CEO. Jeff grew those businesses from approximately $250 million in assets under management to a peak of $3.5 billion, representing over 8 million square feet of commercial real estate assets.
After retiring from HDG Mansur in 2011, Jeff launched a consulting business focused on real estate and new business start-ups. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of various public and private funds and corporations, both as an independent director and in an executive capacity. Jeff joined Lexden Capital in 2014 as Senior Managing Director, and Head of Public Services.
